About Gracehaven Construction

Gracehaven Construction specializes in "Green" building practices for new construction or remodeling. I am an Energy Star Builder and have a Green Advantage Residential Certification. I have been a builder full time for 7 years. I build houses that exceed the minimum standards for insulation and heating and air conditioning ratings. I prefer not to use builder grade material I believe you get what you pay for with that regard. Not only am I a green builder but I am an instructor for greenbuilding classes at a local community college. What sets me apart from other builders is the material I use. From FSC lumber to VOC free paints and solvents, to no particle board in cabinetry. I also will do home energy evaluations for people to let them know what they can do to save energy and money on their current home. I utilize solar hot water heaters for domestic hot water. I recycle as much material from my jobsite as possible. Gracehaven Construction is looking for the person who is concerned about the energy costs of running their home on a month to month basis but is also concerned about their impact on this world we live in.
